Arson Awareness Week is May 6 - 12 and focuses on juvenile fire-setting. There are ways adults can prevent it and responding appropriately when it occurs is critical. Denial is not the answer. There's help available, and parents of youthful fire-setters need to reach out, for the sake of the child, for themselves, and for the community.

Severe Weather Awareness Week
The week of April 16th - 20th is scheduled to be "Severe Weather Awareness Week" in Minnesota with Thursday the 19th designated as the statewide tornado drill day. On Thursday April 19th (Drill Day), the warning sirens will be sounded two times; once at 1:45pm for businesses, schools and other facilites to run through their severe weather plans and again at 6:55pm for late shifts and families in their homes. We encourage all citizens to take a few moments to think about where they would go in the event of the sirens sounding and think about what supplies they may need to ride out the severe weather.
